I’d previously removed the PAIR system on my first 5th Gen so did it again. Sadly Mr Mello Dude was no longer producing his excellent block-off plates I’d used previously so had to get a pair of ebay.

MCT returned my forks and rear shock and they were refitted easily enough, though the rear shock took some manoeuvring to get it to feed into position.

Nice work! Keep cracking... I like that voltmeter mount...
--- You got it this far... if the hoses are factory original, then also the orings will be mush too.. just suggesting, may as well do the AS3 replacement deed... having done it, yeah, the job does suck..

I must admit, mine look nothing as bad as those.

I wanted to replace the brake and clutch lines so went initially with HEL but had major issues at the headstock joint where a poor design (IMO) led to constant leakage.

After many, many emails and replacement parts, they finally agreed to a full refund, so good on them! I then bought a set of Galfer braided hoses and they were relatively easy to fit.
Pro Bolts supplied a lot of bling including the fairing bolts, brake calliper bolts, fork leg bolts etc and then I sourced some carbon-look stickers, fender extender and chain guard.

So, she’s coming together nicely now.

Finally, I wanted a hi-level end can to show off that back wheel (I’d love an 8-spoke but they cost far too much IF you can find one). There aren’t many available for the 5th Gen but I managed to find this one from Italian manufacturer GPR.

So ordered and fitted. Sounds really good and I think it really sets the bike off well.
