Like JZH says, we are getting this forum going so an intro is needed

Been on VFRD since around 2017 if memory serves. Got my first VF in 1985, a 500F2 which enabled me to do the regular weekend 120 mile trip down south from my base to mt girl and then back again. I ran up 65000 miles on that bike and loved every minute of it. Had a VF1000R for a bit after that but sold it on (regrets on losing both those bikes). Working abroad for a number of years and a young family took attention away from motorcycling but in the early 2000s was able to get back into motorcycling, initially with a Suzuki GSXR750 to re-hone the knee scraping cornering skills and then a 2017 VFR800F which I wouldn't sell if you paid me.

I'm not an expert with bikes but I like to imagine I've got a good analytical brain and am handy enough with mechanical and engineering stuff to learn and pass on some experience to others; there is so much I got from wiser guys on the last site; the original VFRD was a portal into a huge base of experience and camaredarie which I am hoping we can re-establish here.

Hi Presson,

Nice to see you here!

A VF1000R with 1000cc and 122hp, 'we' can only dream of that us 5th Gen rascals (ok, we have electronic fuel injection).

I assume we are all still in shock and disbelieve that VFRD.com is down and no clarity on which data can be recovered/retrieved.

Your bike looks stunning. I love the red and sharper corners of the body work.
