Silicone hose replacement...

Post by mello dude »

Just a thought while perusing around on a vender site about silicone hoses...

Found this statement
Remark: Silicone hoses water permeation rate is 10 to 15 times greater than standard EPDM rubber hose. Checking water level regularly is highly recommended when silicone coolant hoses are used in a daily driving vehicle.

Since I did a total rebuild with AS3 silicone, now dammit its got me into the overthinking mode..
If I knew this in the first place, possibly I would have skipped it...

I purchased a set of AS3 hoses for my 6th gen and have every intention of installing them. I'm only putting on 3-5k miles per year... I'll just check the levels a little more often.
