Old girl on the dyno
Old girl on the dyno
Hi! After extensively modifying and tuning my bike I got it checked out on the dyno. This old girl from 2002 got a chance to show what she's got for her 100 000 km anniversary. We checked the AFRs and played around with different velocity stack lengths. The bike is equipped with Leo Vince cans with dB killers in, older style black widow catless headers, KN air filter (the bigger one), desnorkeled and flapper disabled, DIY velocity stacks.
She put down a commendable 108hp and 84Nm of torque - red lines. This run was done with two super short stacks and two long stacks. A middle ground.
The green and brown lines represent four super short stacks and four long stacks. Green for short and brown for long.
The super short stacks are just the radiused parts epoxied to the floor of the airbox.
The long stacks are the length of the stock long ones. The mechanism in the middle is a prototype for movable stacks. From the dyno graph we can see that moving the stacks at 9500 should give the best of both worlds.
