Taking the plunge

Post by Ronnie Fry-Degg »

Hi, long time lurker on old VFRD and the other site. Been riding since the early ‘80s. In my garage is a fifth gen (FiX), bought new… it’s done touring, track-days, commutes and day-trips. it’s a better bike than I am rider and no matter what else I ride I can’t see past it. Never gonna give it up, ‘cos it’s never let me down, always there to run around, never ever hurt me…
A lifetime in IT means I’m wary of forums and social media, however VFRD_old was an exemplar of what I believe the internet is for, people helping people. I’ve just completed a major refresh of the FiX, relying very heavily on the posts in VFRD_old for inspiration & advice and wanted to register and thank everyone. Maybe I can do that here.
Thanks Worfje for starting this up.

Hi Ronnie,

I'm gonna guess that you're not in the US, as you've used the "FiX" nomenclature, but I could be wrong!

Welcome aboard, in any case.

Ciao,
